Established in 1948, the Saskatchewan Arts Board, now operating as SK Arts, is the oldest public arts funder in North America. SK Arts provides grants, programs and services to individuals and groups whose activities have an impact on the arts in Saskatchewan and ensures that opportunities exist for Saskatchewan residents to experience all art forms. After taking SK Arts through our strategic Brand Imprint process, we unearthed a bold, quirky and imaginative voice for the organization that was not being reflected through existing platforms and materials. After digging a little deeper, we developed an entirely new logo that speaks to imagination while maintaining a professional tone. We then designed fresh new print and digital applications for both internal and external use, followed by a stunning annual report.

“I approached the Brand Imprint process with a certain amount of reluctance. I felt that we had already invested so many resources into analyzing our brand and our messaging both internally and with our stakeholders. I was, therefore, incredibly surprised and excited when the process revealed something entirely new to me about our brand – and that new idea became one of the major principles of developing our new visual identity.”
Michael Jones, Chief Executive Officer, SK Arts
